Sara de Ur is a small hotel with charm located in a lovely and peaceful place, La Cabrera, a village in Madrid's Northern Sierra. It is a turn-of the-century villa renovated with care, delicacy and refinement. Sara de Ur's philosophy is to bring back the ancient concept of a home/house, with its objects, its fires, its memories and reminiscences since today's men, living in noisy neon cities with arteries made of concrete, still yearn for the old clay and stone house with its fresh water well and trees around. That is why Sara de Ur is decorated with the utmost solicitude and care. Because furniture, carpets, ceramics and canvases cast out mysterious speeches, ask lots of questions and offer certain responses. And as the spacious rooms fill up with silence and light, the sturdy crossbeams creak, every now and then, and startle us. |

The Hotel consists of six double rooms (40 m²), two superior double rooms, a suite in a tower and five independent duplexes (60 m²) with fireplace. All are equipped with bathroom, telephone, TV, heating. They are surrounded by a quiet and delightful garden, an old sheperds'chapel and a stilish restaurant-café, Gaudium. Being a guest at Sara de Ur will take you back home, to a place where your memories may become real again. But, above all, in the pleasant garden, amongst the old furniture and proud statues, and before the rich upholsteries and melancholic paintings that inhabit Sara de ur, we are fully convinced that the most important part of this hotel are its guests, which explains why everything, absolutely everything, in Sara de Ur has been planned with you in mind. And together with the hotel, a full universe of surprises awaits you in La Cabrera; a fascinating mountain range filled with paths and stirring views, the Romanesque-style convent of San Antonio, important art collections, cultural activities and a busy and a lively village. |
